Fleetworthy Expands Automated Inspections to Five US States
Fleetworthy’s expansion of its Expedited Inspection technology across five US states reduces roadside inspection times by 15 minutes to maximize commercial fleet uptime.
Fleet management technology provider Fleetworthy has expanded its automated Expedited Inspection service to California, Michigan, Vermont, and Maine, building on its initial deployment in Nevada. Available through the company’s Weigh Station Bypass solution, the system automatically transmits fleet, vehicle, and electronic record of duty status (eRODS) data directly to law enforcement officers when a truck is selected for inspection.
Operational data highlights that streamlining roadside data exchange cuts inspection durations by approximately 15 minutes per event. Based on American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) metrics siting marginal trucking operating costs at $91.27 USD per hour, this operational time savings translates to roughly $22.82 USD in direct cost avoidance per inspection, excluding the added value of maintaining delivery schedules.
For cross-border motor carriers operating key freight lanes between Canada and the United States, automated inspection reporting reduces driver administrative friction and duty-status delays. The software-based platform integrates directly with participating electronic logging devices (ELDs) and is provided at no cost to state enforcement agencies to accelerate industry adoption.
