GEOLANDAR A/T4 G018 Targets Mixed-Use Fleet Needs

Yokohama’s all-terrain tire combines off-road durability, all-weather traction and on-road comfort for vehicles working across varied terrain.

Yokohama Tire Canada’s GEOLANDAR A/T4 G018 brings together off-road durability, all-weather traction and on-road comfort in an all-terrain tire designed to tackle a wide range of driving conditions. For Canadian fleets operating pickups and SUVs across highways, gravel roads and job-site terrain, the tire combines rugged construction with features intended to deliver dependable performance throughout the year.

At the heart of the G018 is Yokohama’s Geo-Shield Technology, which uses multiple sidewall plies, a full nylon cap and a high-turn-up carcass to provide strength for on- and off-road applications. Two sidewall-protector designs add shield the tire against side impacts, helping it withstand the demands of rougher terrain.

The tire also features Yokohama’s Enduro Compound, a proprietary triple-polymer blend engineered to resist cuts and chips, combat tread wear and support longer mileage. Together, these construction and compound technologies are designed to help the G018 stand up to challenging surfaces while maintaining its on-road usability.

Tread designed for challenging terrain

The G018’s tread design incorporates several features aimed at improving traction and durability away from paved roads. Aggressive centre blocks enhance grip on trail surfaces, while Edgetec grooves create additional biting edges for deep snow and optimum off-road traction.

Mud and stone ejectors help keep tread grooves clear of debris and protect against stone drilling, an important consideration for vehicles frequently travelling on gravel and unpaved routes.

These features give the tire a combination of traction and debris-management capabilities suited to mixed-use driving, where vehicles may encounter loose surfaces, uneven ground and changing conditions during a typical working day.

Severe-snow-service rating

Winter capability is another key feature of the GEOLANDAR A/T4 G018. The tire carries the three-peak mountain snowflake (3PMSF) symbol, indicating that it meets the industry’s requirements for severe snow-service performance.

Triple 3D sipes are designed to change shape as the tread wears, maintaining biting edges to support traction in varying conditions. Zig-zag grooves help evacuate water from beneath the tread, improving water management and helping resist hydroplaning on wet roads.

For Canadian fleets that operate through changing seasons, these features add another dimension to the G018’s all-terrain capabilities, extending its intended performance beyond dry-road and off-road applications.

Comfort remains part of the package

Although built for rugged use, the G018 also addresses an important consideration for vehicles that spend considerable time on paved roads. Its single-pitch shoulder-block design is engineered to reduce road noise while maintaining off-road traction.

The tire is available in a broad range of fitments, with sizes spanning wheel diameters from 15 to 24 inches. This range gives fleet managers options when equipping compatible pickups and SUVs for a variety of applications.

Yokohama backs the G018 with a limited treadwear warranty covering P/ISO Metric sizes for five years or 105,000 kilometres, and LT Metric sizes for four years or 85,000 kilometres. A 30-day satisfaction guarantee is also available, subject to applicable terms and conditions.

With reinforced construction, an abrasion-resistant compound, purpose-built tread features and a severe-snow-service rating, the GEOLANDAR A/T4 G018 is designed to deliver a compelling combination of toughness, traction and comfort for fleets that need their tires to perform both on and off the road.

Yokohama is offering a $90 discount on a set of four G018 tires until December 15.
