Hunter Upgrades HawkEye® XL Commercial Aligner with Drive-Thru Sensors
Hunter Engineering has expanded the operational capabilities of its HawkEye® XL heavy-duty commercial alignment system with the introduction of a new drive-thru sensor configuration.
The hardware update is engineered to streamline high-volume commercial vehicle inspections and boost throughput across heavy-duty fleet service bays.
The updated configuration allows service technicians to execute accurate alignments without repositioning the sensors or the vehicle framework mid-procedure. The cross-compatible sensors retain the XL platform’s long-range optical vision and wide field of view, maintaining a flexible 14-to-16-foot tower spacing layout capable of accommodating nearly all commercial transport configurations, up to Class 8 trucks and transit buses.
For commercial fleet administrators and heavy-duty shop managers, this reduction in service-cycle time translates directly to minimized vehicle downtime. Maintaining precise steering and axle geometry across commercial fleets remains a critical operational standard for reducing premature tire wear and optimizing fuel efficiency.
