Major Investment by Daimler Truck
Daimler Truck North America (DTNA) has unveiled plans to construct a brand-new, purpose-built manufacturing facility in the United States.
The strategic expansion is designed to boost production capacity, increase operational resilience, and support growing demand across its vocational and on-highway commercial vehicle segments.
DTNA is currently assessing multiple site locations based on supply chain integration, transportation corridors, and workforce availability. Construction is slated to begin in late 2026, with manufacturing operations targeted to go live in 2029.

The announcement coincides with DTNA's broader footprint optimization, which includes shifting production lines for zero-emission models (Freightliner eCascadia, eM2) and Western Star vocational trucks into modernized assembly hubs.
For Canadian commercial fleets, logistics operators, and transport managers, the new capacity secures long-term chassis availability and vehicle delivery timelines across North American trade corridors.
