MAXAM: 40% greater load capacity with this new tire
MAXAM Tire has expanded its agricultural lineup with the launch of the MS963R RowXtra, a performance VF radial implement tire featuring steel-belted construction.
Designed for modern heavy-duty agricultural machinery—including balers, seeders, hay mergers, and tillage implements—the MS963R is engineered to handle high-axle loads, resist stubble damage, and minimize soil compaction.
Utilizing Very High Flexion (VF) technology, the tire allows operators to carry up to 40% more load at standard inflation pressures, or reduce air pressure by 40% for equivalent loads. The tire's flexible sidewall architecture, combined with a stubble-resistant rubber compound and ribbed tread configuration, provides sustained ground contact and lower rolling resistance.
Technical Specifications & Highlights:
- VF Load Efficiency: Operates at 40% reduced air pressure or carries 40% higher payload compared to standard radial implement tires.
- Casing Protection: Integrated steel belts paired with stubble-resistant compounding to enhance cut and impact resistance.
- Tread Design: Ribbed pattern designed to distribute weight evenly and optimize field efficiency.
“As farming equipment continues to evolve for improved productivity, growers require VF tire solutions that handle heavier loads while operating at high speeds and minimizing field impact,” stated Greg Gilland, Vice President of Agriculture at MAXAM Tire.
For Canadian commercial tire dealers, agricultural equipment dealerships, and fleet management teams, the MS963R RowXtra provides an expanded option within MAXAM's growing VF product portfolio across North American distribution channels.
