Maxam Tire Expands MS501 MineXtra Lineup with New 50/65R51 Size
Specialty tire manufacturer Maxam Tire has expanded its MS501 MineXtra series with the release of the new 50/65R51 radial tire.
Designed for heavy wheel loaders operating in severe surface mining and aggregate environments, the new size extends Maxam's severe-duty L5 portfolio.
Engineered for high-impact loading conditions, the MS501 features an extra-deep open L5 tread design with staggered lugs to deliver extended wear life, traction, and puncture resistance. The casing incorporates reinforced bead, shoulder, and sidewall construction combined with a cut-and-tear resistant rubber compound engineered to maintain chassis stability while minimizing equipment downtime.
“The addition of the 50/65R51 further strengthens the MS501 product line and our dedication to supporting customers across an even broader range of mining and quarry applications, said Matt Fagan, Director of R&D at Maxam Tire North America. As equipment continues to grow in size and productivity demands increase, we’re focused on delivering tire solutions that help operators maximize uptime, reduce operating costs and get the most from their equipment.”
For commercial tire dealers, heavy equipment fleets, and resource-sector operators, the addition provides an expanded option for high-capacity wheel loader fitments designed to lower hourly operating costs in hard-rock conditions.
