Expertec and Transform Join Forces to Strengthen National Offering in Light-Duty Commercial Upfitting

Transform Fleet Outfitters has united with Expertec, bringing together two of Canada’s leading specialists in light-duty commercial upfitting under shared ownership and leadership. The move establishes a solid Canadian national platform, uniting Western Canada and Ontario, and builds on Expertec’s recent expansion into the Southwestern U.S. — reflecting rising demand for integrated upfitting solutions across regions and borders.

Together, the companies will offer fleet managers and procurement teams a more unified experience — combining in-house engineering and supply chain integration with deep expertise in large fleet service across trades, utilities, municipalities, and service industries.

“We’ve spent years building close relationships with fleet operators across Ontario,” said Lyle Burrowes, General Manager at Transform Fleet Outfitters. “Now, with Expertec, we can take that same tailored service and solutions approach even further — backed by broader reach, deeper resources, and shared values.”

“This is about building something stronger together,” added Wes Bond, Managing Director of Expertec. “By combining our technical capabilities and service infrastructure with Transform’s trusted reputation in the Greater Toronto Area, we’re better positioned to deliver consistent, efficient service from one region to the next.”

Transform will continue operating under its existing name and team, now endorsed as “An Expertec Company”. The two companies will work closely together under a shared ownership and leadership model, aligning services, operations, and customer support systems over the coming year.

Key vendor partners including Spacekap, Legend, and Ranger Design have expressed strong support for the integration, noting that combined purchasing power will increase competitiveness and ensure supply and pricing stability. Ranger Design CEO Ron Cowie emphasized that the team-up “creates an even stronger foundation for growth.”

This marks Expertec’s second major expansion beyond its Western Canadian base, following the 2024 acquisition of Work Truck Solutions in Phoenix, Arizona. The expanded presence addresses growing demand for integrated light-duty fleet upfitting — spanning design, installation, engineering, maintenance, and support — particularly among larger, more complex commercial fleets.
