FedEx Drops Massive $300M+ Order for 2,000 Harbinger Electric Trucks

Marking a historic commercial EV milestone, FedEx expands its last-mile zero-emission delivery operations across North America.

California-based manufacturer Harbinger has secured a binding order from FedEx for 2,000 all-electric medium-duty commercial trucks valued at over $300 million. Slated for delivery through late 2027 across U.S. and Canadian pickup and delivery routes, the Class 5 and 6 vehicles will replace conventional diesel units on a one-for-one basis. The Canadian fleet rollout will be managed and supported directly by Kaizen Automotive Group.

For commercial fleet operators, heavy-duty dealers, and logistics infrastructure providers, the historic order highlights growing commercial viability and TCO advantages for urban delivery electrification at scale.

According to Harbinger executive leadership, the 2,000-unit deployment is projected to generate $40 million in annual fleet fuel savings while providing purpose-built 20-year service life durability for medium-duty routes.
