Planning for the Long Haul
Holman deepens its commitment to Western Canada with Calgary investment.
For more than three decades, Holman has built a presence across Canada that mirrors the changing needs of the various industries it serves. What began with the company’s first Canadian office in 1989 has evolved into an expansive national footprint that now includes locations in Montreal, Mississauga, and a newly renovated regional hub in Calgary, supported by additional presence in Ottawa, Edmonton, and Vancouver.
The recent renovation and reopening of the Calgary office on May 7, 2026 marked a new chapter in Holman’s Canadian legacy, particularly as Western Canada continues to evolve economically. More than just a physical upgrade, the significant investment signals long-term confidence in Alberta’s future and an unwavering commitment to the clients and industries that power the region.
Today marks an exciting milestone for Holman as we celebrate the grand opening of our newly renovated Calgary office,” Holman President of Fleet Operations Bob White said during the recent ribbon-cutting ceremony. “This investment reflects our long-standing commitment to Alberta and Western Canada, supporting clients across key industries, including energy, transportation, and construction. We’re proud to deepen our roots in a region known for its entrepreneurial spirit, resilience, and global impact.”

Calgary: a strategic hub
Holman’s presence in Western Canada stretches back to the mid-1990s. “Calgary has always been an important strategic hub for Holman,” says Holman’s Canadian Director Brent Scowen. “Alberta is home to many of the industries that rely heavily on complex fleet and asset-intensive solutions. Our long-standing presence in the region allows us to support the organizations that drive Western Canada’s economy.”
Few regions in North America illustrate economic cycles as clearly as Alberta. Driven in large part by the energy sector and a flourishing construction industry, the province has experienced periods of rapid expansion followed by sharp contractions. These challenging conditions demand flexibility, foresight, and resilience from companies in the area.
To that end, Holman remains focused on delivering innovative solutions for the complex fleets that are key to the continued economic growth across the region.
“For nearly four decades, we’ve stood alongside our clients through the economic highs and lows, helping them navigate both growth cycles and downturns,” said Scowen. This profound understanding of the region allows us to deliver solutions specifically tailored to the challenges and opportunities of conducting business in Western Canada.”
This ability to weather change alongside clients has reinforced Holman’s position as a trusted strategic partner. “We continue to invest in the region because we believe in Alberta’s resilience, its entrepreneurial spirit, and the long-term opportunities across Western Canada,” White adds.

Unique business culture
Characterized by entrepreneurial thinking, rapid decision-making, and a strong emphasis on relationships, Alberta’s business environment rewards organizations that can move quickly while maintaining trust.
“Alberta’s business culture is relationship-driven and grounded in practicality,” says Romy Bria, Vice President, Client Relations at Holman. “The business landscape moves quickly, and partnerships are built on trust and responsiveness.”
To meet those market expectations and remain agile, Holman has structured its Western Canadian operations with a strong emphasis on local empowerment. Holman’s Calgary team has long been well positioned to act quickly, ensuring clients receive timely, relevant support without the delays that can come from a more centralized model. “Our knowledge of the market allows us to deliver solutions that reflect the pace and expectations of Alberta businesses,” Bria adds.
"Whether it's heavy equipment, specialized vehicles, or large-scale fleet programs, our goal is to help organizations remain efficient, resilient, and ready for what's next."

The backbone of the economy
Holman’s experience in the energy sector is extensive, and that’s key for their customers in Western Canada. From oil and gas to related service industries, Holman has developed a deep understanding of the demands associated with managing fleets and equipment in environments where uptime, safety, and efficiency are paramount.
“Energy remains a cornerstone of Alberta’s economy, and Holman has decades of experience supporting clients in the oil and gas sectors as well as related industries,” says Holman’s Executive Vice President of Sales & Client Relations Nick Caller. “We understand the cyclical nature of these industries and tailor our fleet solutions to help clients navigate both expansion and contraction.”
This includes supporting a wide range of asset types. “Whether it’s heavy equipment, specialized vehicles, or large-scale fleet programs, our goal is to help organizations remain efficient, resilient, and ready for what’s next,” Caller adds.
Holman’s Calgary office continues to serve as the central hub for the company’s operations across Western Canada, supporting clients in Alberta, as well as British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.
“Expanding our regional presence allows us to leverage our extensive national capabilities while still providing meaningful local responsiveness,” says Scowen. By continuing to expand the company’s physical presence in the West, Holman is able to further accelerate response times, strengthen client relationships, and align its service delivery with the regional nuances of each market it serves.
Investing in people
The newly renovated Calgary office isn't just an upgraded workspace. "It's a space designed for collaboration, growth, and client engagement. It also represents an important investment in our people, our clients, and our future in Western Canada," says Scowen.
It also reinforces Holman's long-term commitment to the region. "We're not just maintaining our presence; we're expanding it," Scowen notes. In an era defined by digital transformation, the importance of physical presence might seem diminished. For Holman, the opposite is true. "Being physically present in Calgary allows us to build stronger connections and relationships with our clients," says Bria. "It gives us a firsthand understanding of their operations, challenges, and opportunities, allowing us to tailor solutions to meet their specific needs."
At the same time, Holman is continuing to enhance its service delivery model, integrating new technology, comprehensive analytics, and evolving digital tools to ensure the company continues to deliver an exceptional customer experience across Canada.
"We are evolving our service model to deliver a more seamless, technology-enabled, and insight-driven customer experience," Bria says. "Our investment in Calgary reflects that dual commitment, staying close to our customers while continuously modernizing the tools, analytics and service platforms to help them operate more efficiently and confidently."
Looking ahead with confidence
As Alberta continues to evolve, so too does the opportunity landscape. While energy remains a central pillar, the province continues to evolve and grow into areas such as infrastructure development, logistics, and emerging technologies tied to the energy transition.
"We're incredibly excited about Alberta's future," says Caller. "The province is diversifying, innovating, and continuing to strengthen its core industries."
From supporting ambitious and complex projects to providing more efficient transportation solutions, Holman sees its role as helping clients navigate change, manage growth, and plan for long-term success.
"Holman is eager to play a role in that future, supporting our clients, investing in our people, and continuing to grow alongside Western Canada," Caller adds.
Commitment, reinforced
At its core, the reopening of the Calgary office is a statement of intent. It reflects a belief in the strength of Western Canada, the promise of its industries, and the value of long-term partnerships built on trust and proximity.
As White puts it: "We're not just opening a renovated office; we're reinforcing our unwavering commitment to the region. We've been here for decades, and we're here for the long term, supporting our clients, investing in this community, and growing alongside Western Canada."
For fleet professionals navigating an increasingly complex and dynamic environment, that kind of commitment offers something essential: a partner that is not only equipped to deliver solutions, but also invested in the journey ahead.
