Mitsubishi Motors of Canada Sees Record Sales for First Half of 2025

After another record-breaking year of sales in 2024, Mitsubishi MotorSales of Canada (MMSCAN) and its dealer network has just wrapped up its best-ever first half of the calendar year.
Mitsubishi Motors of Canada reported Total Sales of 18,900 units for the first six months of 2025, up four per cent from the same period last year. The refreshed 2025 Outlander was the top-selling nameplate with 5,293 units, followed by Outlander PHEV with 4,694 units. The value-packed RVR subcompact SUV and Eclipse Cross compact SUV continue to be strong performers for the brand with Total Sales of 4,126 and 3,115 units, respectively. The sell-down of the subcompact Mirage, which ended production in late 2024, continued with Total Sales of 1,672 units in the first half of 2025.
For the second quarter of 2025 (MMSCAN’s Fiscal Year Q1), MMSCAN saw Total Sales of 10,736 units, up 15% over the same period last year. Outlander PHEV was the top seller with 2,936 units sold, an increase of more than 1,000 units over the first quarter of 2025, when many Canadian EV buyers delayed their purchases as a result of provincial and federal EV rebate uncertainty.
Mitsubishi Motors continues to work toward its Momentum 2030 product strategy, which will deliver one brand new or refreshed model each year. The refreshed Outlander – which includes significant upgrades to the interior, audio system and driving dynamics – has received overwhelmingly positive reviews from the automotive press and consumers since launching in March.
Although the 2026 Model Year lineup hasn’t been announced yet, another one of the four nameplates will be significantly updated. And in May, Mitsubishi Motors announced that a new fully-electric vehicle, based off its alliance partner Nissan’s next-generation Leaf BEV, would join the North American lineup starting in the summer of 2026.
