NAFA Ontario LNG Hosts Social & Baseball Event

On April 1, NAFA Ontario Local Networking Group (LNG) hosted the 2025 edition of its popular Spring Social and Baseball event. NAFA members and fleet professionals/vendors met at the Pint Public House on Front Street in downtown Toronto for an evening of drinks food and networking, followed by a trip to the nearby Rogers Centre to watch the Toronto Blue Jays play against the Washington Nationals in the American League East Division of Major League Baseball.

Speaking with Imran Mohammed, Vice President, Business Development, BDS Fleet Services, and NAFA Ontario Board Member, this year’s event was sold out, with 108 registered attendees. It was standing room only at the Pint and this year, it was encouraging to see more fleet managers and representatives attend. “Our goal is to get more fleet managers out to these events,” said Mohammed and the results have been encouraging. Also attending were Bill Schankel and David Johnson from NAFA’s corporate offices and a good time was had by all.

The Spring Social kicks off the NAFA Ontario LNG event season, and will be followed by a golf tournament in June and a planned local Ride & Drive event for September (more details can be found at https://www.nafa.org/events-calendar/).

“Last year was good, said Mohammed “and in 2025, we’re off to a strong start.” Besides the event, which proved very popular with everyone we talked with it, the evening proved a good night for Canada as the Blue Jays beat the Nationals, with a 5-3 final score. It all came together in the eighth inning where Bo Bichette hit a two-run single with two out, breaking the tie and leading the Jays to their third straight win this season.
