NAFA Quebec Region Golf Tournament: Sold-out Event

The Carl Gloutnay Classic, held in Boucherville on June 15, illustrates the popularity of NAFA's Quebec Region activities.

More than 120 players took part in this golf tournament. The event was attended by fleet managers and a number of specialist suppliers. To this number must be added the local people who joined the group for supper.

At first, the weather was mild, but at the end of the day, violent thunderstorms cut the race short. The cocktail will have only been pre-empted.

"We had a really good turnout," enthused Simon Thérrien. "Despite organizational changes at the association's head office in the United States, our organization has demonstrated its dynamism. This 46th edition of the golf tournament gave us the opportunity to catch up with colleagues, but also to discover new faces.

Guillaume Poudrier, who acts as liaison between NAFA's Quebec region and its affiliated regional associations, has seen that NAFA's chapter reorganization holds great growth potential for the Quebec group.

"We can share our best practices with other chapters," explains Poudrier. We also benefit from more administrative resources, which frees up our time to concentrate on our activities. We mustn't forget that NAFA's Quebec Region management is made up of volunteers."

The goal of the Quebec park managers' association is to raise its profile and encourage more players in the sector to join its ranks and participate in the four annual activities on its agenda.
