Fleetio Unveils Service Advisor AI Tool to Speed Up Shop Approvals

Cutting repair shop downtime by 16 percent, Fleetio launches its Service Advisor AI tool to streamline high-volume maintenance order approval workflows for fleets.

Announced at Work Truck Week, fleet software provider Fleetio has launched the open beta version of Service Advisor, an artificial intelligence capability embedded within its maintenance management suite. The platform is designed to streamline high-volume repair order approvals and assist fleet administrators in evaluating service estimates.

For commercial fleet directors, shop maintenance supervisors, and fleet asset managers, the automated review addresses rising maintenance cost pressures while returning commercial vehicles to active service faster. Early implementation data shows assets spend 16 percent fewer hours in repair bays when guided by the system.

"We built Service Advisor to strengthen human judgment as fleet operations scale across assets, shops, and locations," said Jorge Valdivia, Chief Technology Officer at Fleetio. "Service Advisor is a major step toward our broader vision for Fleetio to become the operational brain of the fleet."

Leveraging a decade of fleet service data, Service Advisor evaluates repair orders against historical cost benchmarks, prioritizes critical component failures, and generates concise service histories for shop managers. The feature complements Fleetio’s Smart Uploads tool, which uses machine vision to digitize multi-page paper invoices into structured line items.
