CANVEC's Worry-Free Approach

CANVEC, a roadside assistance provider and tractor-trailer leasing company in the Greater Montreal area, had a booth at the recent Truck World in Toronto to promote its services.

However, the first thing Danny Lefebvre, President of CANVEC, wanted to talk about was his pride in working alongside his father, André, and his son, Damian, in this dynamic family business.

Introductions aside, Lefebvre explained to Flottes & Mobilité that his presence in Toronto, Canada's heavy transport hub, was based on his strategy to raise awareness of CANVEC's 24/7 roadside assistance services. "Fleet managers often tell us they don't need a service agreement with us because their trucks never break down, right up until one of their trucks breaks down in the middle of the night on a highway and they urgently request our services," the president explained with a broad smile.

While CANVEC offers heavy-duty vehicle leasing in Quebec, it is their specialized roadside assistance service that the company wants to provide to its partners across Canada. Moreover, the company has just reached an agreement with new manufacturers for quick and easy access to their replacement parts, making the service offering even more attractive.

"We work on call and also offer various packages," explained Lefebvre. "What is also important is that regardless of the situation or the time it occurs, a live person will answer the emergency call. The mission of our company and our 90 employees is to reassure commercial fleet managers."
