Ex-Guard Releases New Front-End Protection Guards for Volvo’s All-New VNR and VNL Trucks
Ex-Guard®, the leading provider of front-end protection solutions for the commercial transportation industry, has launched a new line of grille guards engineered specifically for Volvo’s brand new VNR, along with updates for the “All-New” VNL.
Designed with next-generation protection and compatibility in mind, the VM guard series sets a new standard for durability and style while ensuring full integration with Volvo’s advanced technology systems, according to Jeremy Drever, Ex-Guard director of engineering.
“Just like the new Volvo VNL and VNR themselves, these guards represent a leap forward in design and performance,” said Drever, “For the XG-150G3-VM and EX-150G3-VM extreme duty models, we’ve increased hood protection height, redesigned the upper section for better headlight coverage, and enhanced logo visibility, all while preserving the advanced sensor functionality and aerodynamic styling that Volvo customers expect.”
The new guard lineup features five models, ranging from extreme-duty full protection for the bumper, grille, radiator, hood, and headlights to low-profile full bumper protection guards. The VM series includes the XG-150G3-VM, EX-150G3-VM, XG-125G3-VM, EX-125G3-VM, and EX-100G3-VM.
Ex-Guard worked directly with industry partners, customers, and the manufacturer on real-world testing to validate the design and strength of the new guards.
In addition to specific design features for compatibility with the new Volvo VNL and VNR, the new guards features:
- ClearZone® CMS Compatible Design – works with the truck’s built-in collision mitigation system radars
- Ex-Guard’s patented XERO-G™ Lift Assist, which greatly reduces the effort to raise and lower the guard
- 8-gauge high-tensile steel coated with 3mm of EVRCoat™ PVC finish
- LEVRLock™ dual latches
- Additional cross bar for increased grille coverage
- License plate bracket
