Francis Messier Named Vice President, Eastern Region, Succeeding Gaétan Delisle at UAP

A wave of change is sweeping through UAP’s Heavy Vehicle Division. On October 1, Gaétan Delisle will officially retire after more than 48 years with UAP. A prominent figure in the network, he left a lasting mark on the company’s history, contributing significantly to the launch of the TruckPro banner, the Traction Associate Program, and more recently, the creation of Traction Express. His vision has greatly supported the division’s growth and diversification over the decades.

As Gaétan Delisle prepares to step down, UAP has named Francis Messier as Vice President, Eastern Region. He officially took office on June 16, 2025. Known for his natural leadership, Francis quickly established himself after joining the company in 2007. From the outset, he was involved in developing the TruckPro network, then served as Sales Manager for Traction Québec and TW, before becoming General Sales Manager for the Eastern Region at the latter. He notably played a central role in the integration of Saniquip-Bergor.

With his deep knowledge of the network and extensive contacts, Francis will be supported by his mentor until the fall. His appointment reflects a clear commitment to continuity, growth, and a well-prepared succession within UAP’s ranks.
