Grote Industries Unveils Breakthrough Safety Technologies at ATA’s 2025 Management Conference & Exhibition

Every year, roadside and rear-end collisions remain among the most dangerous and costly threats to commercial fleets. Today at the American Trucking Associations’ Management Conference & Exhibition (MCE), Grote Industries, a global leader in vehicle lighting and safety systems, debuted two innovations designed to directly address these risks: H.E.L.P.® DeliverSAFE™, developed in collaboration with Emergency Safety Solutions (ESS), and the 4SEE® Rear-Collision Warning System.

The announcement came during a live press event in Grote’s booth (#11037), where company leaders and partners demonstrated how these technologies provide fleets with life-saving situational awareness and visibility, through conspicuous lighting, actionable alerts, and the reliability of a wired digital architecture.

“Safety is the cornerstone of everything we do at Grote Industries,” says Dominic Grote, President & CEO of Grote Industries. “The need for advanced commercial vehicle safety solutions is growing as fleets face tighter FMCSA expectations and the very real risks of roadside and rear-end collisions. H.E.L.P. DeliverSAFE and the 4SEE Rear-Collision Warning System directly address those risks, giving fleets practical, proactive tools that help protect drivers and reduce crashes.”

Digital and Lighting Alerts: Raising the Standard for Roadside Protection

H.E.L.P. DeliverSAFE, available in 4SEE and as a stand-alone smart trailer product, helps prevent crashes by warning oncoming motorists of dangers on the road ahead with digital notification and highly conspicuous lighting.

H.E.L.P. Lighting Alerts improve vehicle visibility by using a regulatory-compliant, behaviorally optimized rapid flash pattern to raise awareness, including additional lights to create visual contrast, and synchronized flashing to clearly outline the vehicle. H.E.L.P. Digital Alerts extend this protection by delivering real-time notifications with exact location directly to oncoming drivers’ navigation apps and in-cab displays.

By making trailers far more visible in high-risk situations, this system helps reduce roadside and secondary collisions, which are often the deadliest type of crash. A Virginia Tech study shows that 87% of drivers slow down or change lanes when exposed to H.E.L.P. alerts – nearly three times the effectiveness of standard hazard lights.

Available as a stand-alone system or simple digital activation with 4SEE, H.E.L.P. DeliverSAFE empowers fleets to protect drivers and roadside workers.

4SEE Rear-Collision Warning System: Preventing the Most Common Crash

According to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, rear-end collisions account for 29% of all commercial vehicle accidents and cost fleets millions annually in downtime, litigation, and injury claims. Grote’s new 4SEE Rear-Collision Warning System uses advanced data processing, a rear radar unit, and an auxiliary strobe lamp to proactively warn following motorists when they are approaching too quickly, helping mitigate risk and prevent collisions before impact.

Built on Grote’s proprietary 4SEE Digital Harness, the system ensures secure, wired data transfer, lamp–specific light-out detection, and the ability to receive over-the-air updates, providing fleets with a future-ready safety platform.

“Every advancement we are introducing reflects our commitment to keeping fleets and drivers safer on the road,” says Andrew Grose, Vice President of Grote Networks, Grote Industries. “From roadside visibility with H.E.L.P. DeliverSAFE to collision prevention through our rear collision warning system and smarter digital tools that give fleets real-time insights, these innovations are designed to help operators reduce risk and create safer conditions for everyone who shares the road.”

During the press event, attendees witnessed live demonstrations of the Rear-Collision Warning System and the H.E.L.P. DeliverSAFE features, reinforcing how these tools create safer conditions for drivers, fleets, and the public.
