Groupe Morneau inaugurates new Bolton, Ont., terminal
Groupe Morneau yesterday celebrated the grand opening of its new terminal in Bolton, Ont.
“This inauguration is much more than the opening of a building. It is a symbol of trust, ambition, and shared commitment,” Catherine and David Morneau, co-presidents of Groupe Morneau, said in a joint statement. “Our arrival in Ontario was a significant chapter in our story, and today, we are here to build the future together with our collaborators, clients, partners, and the local community.”
The new facility brings together the operations of Morneau GEO (general LTL/TL freight), Morneau BOREA (refrigerated transport and storage), and Morneau GLOBAL (logistics and brokerage).
More than 200 people are employed at the facility. Groupe Morneau has been in the Bolton area since last April when it occupied the site initially as a tenant. It since purchased the site it says is at the heart of a major Ontario highway corridor, enabling reduced transit times and a stronger presence.
The site has a surface area of 80,000 sq.-ft. with 51 dock doors. Town of Caledon mayor Annette Groves attended the grand opening.
