Grote Unveils Zero-Latency Camera via Standard J560
Grote’s new 4SEE rear-view camera leverages existing trailer wiring to eliminate backing collisions and driver downtime without wireless signal drops.
Grote Industries has introduced its next generation 4SEE Rear View Camera at the ATA Management Conference & Exhibition. The wired safety solution uses proprietary data-transfer technology to stream high-definition video through the vehicle's standard J560 seven-way connector, delivering immediate backing visibility to the cab driver with virtually zero latency.
For commercial fleet operators across North America, yard strikes and low-speed backing incidents generate significant repair expenses, insurance claims, and vehicle downtime. By utilizing a physical, wired connection instead of wireless pairing, the system eliminates signal loss, interference, and driver setup time during tractor-trailer coupling.
According to Grote, the 4SEE platform provides sufficient bandwidth to support multiple camera feeds and future bi-directional data transmission without requiring specialized tractor-trailer connectors. Existing 4SEE-equipped trailers can retrofitted with the rear camera module to lower collision risks and protect operating margins.
