Isuzu Moves Autonomous Transportation Forward with Driverless Demonstration

Isuzu has reached a new milestone in automated mobility by conducting an unmanned demonstration of a heavy-duty autonomous truck at the Isuzu Hokkaido Test Facility.

This initiative is part of the Isuzu Group’s accelerated efforts to bring Level 4 autonomous trucks and buses to practical use by fiscal year 2027, with the goal of addressing key societal challenges such as the growing shortage of professional drivers.

As a safety precaution, a driver was seated in the passenger seat during the demonstration.
