MAXAM Tire Promotes Ed Petros to Lead Forestry & Port Segments

MAXAM Tire North America has announced the promotion of Ed Petros to Forestry & Port Segment Manager, reinforcing the company’s corporate commitment to strengthening its leadership and operational expertise within two of its most critical specialty tire segments.

The executive promotion directly influences product support across resource-heavy Canadian sectors, where remote logging operations and coastal maritime hubs demand highly specialized off-the-road (OTR) tire solutions to maintain heavy machinery uptime.

Petros brings more than 40 years of commercial tire industry experience to his expanded role. Raised within a family-owned tire business and a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, he has established a distinguished career serving the specialized industrial equipment market. His extensive background features leadership roles with a premier OTR tire dealership, a leading retreading organization, and Bridgestone/GCR, where he developed deep technical expertise across earthmoving, mining, forestry, port, and other high-tonnage heavy-duty applications. During his seven-year tenure with MAXAM Tire, Petros has played an instrumental role in resolving complex field applications and driving brand adoption.

“Ed’s promotion is a reflection of the tremendous impact he has made throughout his time at MAXAM,” said Jimmy McDonnell, Senior Vice President at MAXAM Tire North America. “His decades of industry knowledge, unwavering commitment to our customers, and dedication to continuous improvement have helped shape our success. Ed is well-positioned to lead the continued growth and development of our Forestry and Port segments.” For North American commercial fleets and heavy equipment dealerships, this targeted appointment ensures enhanced technical support and localized product positioning designed for demanding job sites.
