PACCAR Integrates Factory Touchscreen Platform for Kenworth and Peterbilt
PACCAR Connect eliminates aftermarket hardware installation by embedding telematics, diagnostics, and app ecosystems directly into 2027 Class 8 cabs.
Commercial vehicle manufacturer PACCAR has launched PACCAR Connect, a factory-integrated digital platform for Kenworth and Peterbilt Class 8 trucks, during the ATA Management Conference & Exhibition. Scheduled for rollout in early 2027, the architecture combines telematics capabilities, driver workflow software, and fleet management tools through a central high-definition touchscreen display.
For North American fleet operators and motor carriers, embedding telematics at the factory level eliminates the capital expenditure and downtime associated with installing third-party aftermarket hardware. Covered under original OEM warranty, the system provides back-office management with real-time fleet visibility, including vehicle health monitoring, remote fault code diagnostics, fuel idle tracking, location services, and warranty status through the Virtual Vehicle app ecosystem.
Designed to enhance cab productivity, the interface supports up to eight camera inputs for automated blind-spot coverage, voice-assistant controls, and native diagnostics that translate complex fault codes into actionable service steps. Streamlining digital fleet workflows reduces shop turnaround times and lowers overall fleet operational overhead.
