Phillips Debuts Damage-Resistant Permalite Apex Interior Lighting

Phillips Industries has launched its new Permalite Apex corner-mounted interior lighting system. Designed to optimize visibility during freight handling, the fixtures mount along the upper edges of the trailer interior to cast uniform illumination down the walls and across the floor while remaining safely out of the strike zone of forklifts and shifting cargo stacks.

The engineering layout offers a practical solution for Canadian fleet maintenance managers and trailer repair facilities, as it eliminates the need to route complex ceiling pans or structural conduits during new trailer builds or fleet retrofits. Built utilizing Phillips' proprietary BoardFree technology, the lights eliminate traditional circuit boards to better withstand the severe road vibrations and chassis flexing common in over-the-road transport.

Engineered to operate reliably within demanding transportation environments, the Apex lights feature a completely sealed design carrying an IP67 moisture-resistance rating. This allows the interior units to withstand high-pressure chemical power-washing, making them well-suited for low-temperature refrigerated applications and food-grade transport operations requiring strict sanitation protocols.
