Simard Suspensions Announces the Construction of a New Manufacturing Facility

Simard Suspensions is proud to announce the construction of a brand-new manufacturing facility in the Saint-Urbain industrial park. This major project aims to increase production capacity, further engage our workforce, and bring back certain activities that are currently outsourced.
The new 25,000-square-foot facility will replace the existing site located on Rang Saint-Laurent. It will be equipped with state-of-the-art technology, including a laser cutting table, a second welding robot, and a modern machining centre. This project will also address the aging of current equipment and infrastructure, while reducing operational risks in the event of an incident.
The cutting and bending phase will include the installation of a new laser cutting table, as well as new material handling and storage equipment. The project also includes the addition of a second robotic welding station, along with the relocation and redesign of current equipment from Rang Saint-Laurent to Saint-Urbain.
We are currently finalizing technical assessments, permit applications, architectural plans, contractor tenders, and equipment procurement.
The project’s inancial framework is estimated at approximately $10 million. Construction is scheduled to begin in summer or fall 2025, with commissioning expected in early 2026.
“We are proud to launch this construction project, which marks a major milestone in the evolution of Simard Suspensions. This new facility will not only allow us to increase our production capacity, but also reinforce our commitment to innovation and quality. We look forward to the positive impact this expansion will have on our clients, our team, and our community.”
