Two Canadian Teams Advance to Volvo Trucks Global Service Finals

Canadian heavy-duty technical expertise is headed to the global stage this fall. Volvo Trucks North America confirmed that three dealer service teams have advanced past intensive regional semi-finals to secure spots in the upcoming VISTA 2026 World Finals (Volvo International Service Training Award), with Canadian operations capturing two of the three available North American seeds.

The elite Canadian technician teams advancing to the final round in Gothenburg, Sweden, from September 7–11, 2026, are:

  • Team “Regenerates” representing Beaver Truck Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba (marking the dealership's 5th appearance at the world finals).
  • Team “Adaptive Crews” representing Sterling Truck & Trailer Sales Ltd. in Regina, Saskatchewan. They will compete alongside a single U.S. qualifying team from Bruckner’s Truck & Equipment in Dallas, Texas.

First established in 1957, VISTA stands as the global transport sector's largest service market competition, drawing thousands of participants across 100 countries. The biennial program challenges multi-disciplinary dealership teams through staged diagnostic troubleshooting, advanced electrical architecture evaluations, and real-world workshop simulations under tight time constraints.

"Programs like this highlight the expertise across our dealer network, and seeing these teams earn a place on the global stage is a significant accomplishment," stated Peter Voorhoeve, president of Volvo Trucks North America. For commercial fleet operators, the standard achieved by these Western Canadian service bays highlights the advanced training benchmarks backing local fleet maintenance and uptime logistics.
