UAP and Standen's Join In a Unique Strategic Partnership

UAP Inc., a leading distributor of automotive and heavy vehicle parts in Canada, proudly announces a major partnership with Standen’s, a Canadian manufacturer renowned for its expertise in the production of leaf springs.

Under this agreement, Standen’s will focus its efforts on its specialty: the manufacturing expertise that has earned it a strong reputation across Canada. Meanwhile, UAP will leverage the strength of its distribution network - through Traction, TW, and TruckPro - to ensure the best possible market coverage across Canada. Together, the two companies combine their strengths to offer the best to customers from coast to coast.

“This is a perfect union between two major Canadian forces: Standen’s manufacturing excellence, established since 1924, and the power of UAP’s network, founded in 1926. Together, these two century-old companies create an unmatched offering for the benefit of our market,” said Alain Primeau, President of UAP Inc.

“We are thrilled to join forces with an organization as large and strong as UAP. This partnership allows each of us to focus on our areas of expertise. By combining our strengths, we become even more efficient in serving our customers,” added Cheryl Hacking, CEO of IMT, the parent company of Standen’s.

Continuity and Growth

The distribution of Standen’s products will now be handled by UAP. With its four TW distribution centers, a network of 145 Traction stores, and 140 TruckPro repair centres, UAP significantly expands the reach and accessibility of products manufactured by Standen’s, while ensuring a smooth transition for existing customers.

UAP is also acquiring Standen’s service and repair center in Calgary. This integration adds valuable expertise to the TruckPro network, which will support maintenance needs for customers’ suspension systems.

This partnership guarantees the availability of superior quality, Canadian-made products and reaffirms our commitment to providing the Canadian market with reliable and long-lasting solutions
