2025 / 2026 Jeep Wagoneer S

Although the Jeep Wagoneer S shares its name with the Jeep Wagoneer, these are two very different vehicles. The major difference, of course, is that the Wagoneer S is all-electric, while the Wagoneer is powered by a six-cylinder gasoline engine. Also, while the Wagoneer is larger, with room for seven or eight (depending on the configuration), its electric sibling taps out at five.

Once you move past the very similar model names, and come to terms with the fact that these are very different vehicles, it’s easy to be impressed with everything the Wagoneer S has to offer.

For starters, with an all-electric powertrain that pumps out a delightful 600 horsepower and 617 lb.-ft. of torque, the Wagoneer S is a pleasure to pilot. Four-wheel drive is standard equipment (we would expecting nothing less from Jeep), which means that all that power and torque is efficiently channeled to all four wheels for maximum grip in any and all weather conditions.

Furthermore, the Wagoneer S comes with five distinct driving modes: Auto, Sport, Eco, Snow, and Sand. This means you can dial in the traction and performance you need in order to best tackle the weather and road conditions at hand.

In addition, Jeep’s first battery-electric vehicle delivers spine-bending launch capabilities and effortless acceleration. Highway maneuvers are a breeze, and the Wagoneer S never seems to run out of oomph, which makes overtaking other vehicles almost too easy.

Upscale interior

The interior of the Wagoneer S is upscale, refined and quiet. Our tester was equipped with stunning red seats (a $1,000 option), which were heated and ventilated (front and rear). A heated steering wheel completes the ready-for-any-Canadian-winter abilities of this electric SUV, making the Wagoneer S a delight to spend time in, regardless of the weather or the temperature outside.

Thoroughly modern, the Wagoneer S has replaced most analog instruments with duty-specific screens. The gauge cluster is a fully-customizable screen, a 12.3–inch Uconnect 5 NAV multimedia centre screen controls all the infotainment features, a 10.3-inch passenger screen features HDMI connectivity, and another screen controls all HVAC functions and front seat massage features (part of the Premium package/trim). A 10-inch head-up display is available.

As far as all these screens are concerned, graphics are crisp, the menus are easy to navigate, and all controls are intuitive. For the record, the latest Uconnect system is head-and-shoulders above previous iterations of this technology.

Two trim options

The 2025 Wagoneer S comes in two well-equipped trims: Limited and Premium. Although Jeep hasn’t announced details about the 2026 trim lineup (at the time of writing), we anticipate that options will be similar. Both trims offer the same creature comforts, including dual-zone climate control with an N95 air filter, separate rear HVAC controls, a dual–pane panoramic sunroof, and a lot more.

Both trims come with the same powertrain, both offer the same 473 km range, and both have the same 469 kg payload capacity and 1,588 kg towing capacity. Moreover, regardless of the trim, the Wagoneer S comes equipped with a comprehensive list of standard safety features and technologies.

Overall, the Wagoneer S offers many of the features and amenities an executive fleet driver might expect in a battery-electric vehicle that’s roughly the size of a Jeep Grand Cherokee. We look forward to seeing what Jeep has in store when they announce details about the 2026 Wagoneer S lineup.
