2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid: The convenience of electric, the confidence of gas

The new 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid marks the brand's first plug-in hybrid offering in Canada and the U.S. Designed to meet the needs of modern families, it delivers up to 61 km of all-electric range for everyday errands, while its hybrid powertrain provides a total driving range of up to 687 km1x, combining electric convenience with gasoline-powered confidence.

The new 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid will make its public debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, from November 21-30, 2025.

"The Rogue Plug-in Hybrid is an important step in Nissan's electrification roadmap. It delivers the convenience of electric type driving for everyday commutes while maintaining the long-range driving benefits of a gasoline engine. This dual capability reflects Nissan's commitment to meeting customers' needs to enjoy the upside of having both an EV and a traditional SUV in a single vehicle which will prepare our customers for a more fully electrified future," said Ponz Pandikuthira, senior vice president and chief product officer, Nissan Americas. "Introducing our first plug-in hybrid in Canada and the U.S. reinforces our Re:Nissan business strategy to revitalize the product portfolio and expand market coverage."

The new 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid will be offered in a well-equipped Platinum grade and reaches Nissan dealerships early in 2026.

Seamless plug-in hybrid powertrain offers the best of both worlds

The new 2026 Nissan Rogue Plug-in Hybrid combines two electric motors, a 20-kWh lithium-ion battery pack, and a 2.4-liter gasoline engine. The system seamlessly blends output from the motors and gas engine to deliver the performance efficiency demanded by the driver at any time. It offers all-electric driving range for quiet, efficient everyday trips, plus the versatility of gas-hybrid driving to go farther when adventure beckons.

Rogue Plug-in Hybrid's battery can be fully charged in just 7.5 hours on a Level 2 home charger.

Total system output is 248 horsepower and 332 lb-ft of torque, helping enable quicker acceleration than the standard Rogue. Intelligent All-Wheel Drive is standard on Rogue Plug-in Hybrid.

Drivers can select from EV, Save or Charge modes to balance battery charge or gas engine use, depending on their needs. There are also two levels of regenerative braking enabled by moving the shifter from D to B or enabling the e-Step one-pedal driving function.

Seven drive modes are available to optimize power delivery and AWD torque distribution: Normal, Power, Eco, Tarmac, Gravel, Snow and Mud.

Rogue Plug-in Hybrid is expected to return fuel economy estimates of 3.6 Le/100 km1 alongside 61 km of all-electric driving range and 687 km total range.
