bZ 2027 : up to 468 km of estimated driving range

Toyota Canada has released packaging and pricing details for the 2027 bZ all-electric SUV, available in three distinct grades and two powertrain options.

Built on Toyota's e-TNGA dedicated EV platform, the 2027 bZ comes standard with the North American Charging System (NACS) port, allowing direct access to high-speed charging infrastructure across Canada and the U.S. Each model is also supplied with CCS and J1772 adapters. Under ideal conditions, DC fast charging can replenish the battery from 10% to 80% in approximately 30 minutes.

“The bZ is one of three battery-electric models offered to Canadians within the Toyota lineup. Our multi-pathway approach gives customers the breadth of choice and flexibility to choose the powertrain that best fits their needs,” stated Steve Pilkey, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Toyota Canada Inc.

Powertrains & Performance Metrics:

  • XLE FWD: 57.7 kWh battery delivering 168 system horsepower and an estimated range of up to 380 km.
  • XLE AWD & Limited AWD: 77 kWh battery producing 338 system horsepower with an estimated range of up to 468 km. AWD variants add X-Mode with Grip Control, Multi-Terrain Select, and Crawl Control.

The interior offers 784 L of cargo space behind the 60/40 split second-row seats, a 14-inch Toyota Multimedia display with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration, dual smartphone wireless charging docks, and a digital key. Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 is standard across the lineup.

For Canadian Toyota dealers and commercial fleet operators, the addition of native NACS connectivity alongside enhanced cold-weather preconditioning addresses key operational considerations for zero-emission adoption.
