"The IONIQ 9 represents the pinnacle of Hyundai's electric vehicle innovation and our commitment to the Canadian market," said Mike Ricciuto, director of product and corporate strategy at Hyundai Auto Canada. "We believe its impressive range; combination of exceptional space; advanced technology, and competitive pricing will resonate strongly with Canadian families looking for a sustainable and stylish transportation solution.”

IONIQ 9 is equipped with relevant technology and ultra-fast 800-volt/350 kW charging that can charge the battery from 10 to 80 per cent in as little as 24 minutes.² It is among the first non-Tesla models to feature a native NACS port. This easy-to-use design makes for seamless charging on the Tesla Supercharger network at select charging stations across Canada, and the included adapter enables convenient charging on CCS high-speed public chargers.

IONIQ 9 also offers remarkable towing capabilities of up to 5,000 lbs. Its intelligent trailer mode optimizes range predictions based on trailer weight and maintains a fixed 50:50 front-to-rear motor torque distribution ratio on AWD for optimal performance.

All 2026 IONIQ 9 models sold in Canada will be built in Ulsan, South Korea. The 2026 IONIQ 9 is set to arrive at dealerships in June.
