Nissan Canada: ICE, EV & Beyond
Nissan offers an array of technologically advanced vehicles for your fleet needs.
As fleet professionals look ahead to 2025 and plan their new vehicle acquisitions and budgets, Nissan Canada is eager to fulfill any and all of your fleet needs with an array of vehicles, “suitable for fleets of all sizes,” says Louis-Philippe Rochefort, responsible for Corporate Fleet Sales, Residual Management & CPO for Nissan Canada.
“In addition to a lineup of fuel-efficient crossovers and SUVs, we are ready to fulfill your car, truck and electric vehicle needs too,” Rochefort adds.
Electric vehicle options
Speaking of electric vehicles, Nissan’s first all-electric crossover, the ARIYA, is available in both front-wheel drive and e-4ORCE all-wheel drive configurations, and with either a long-range or standard-range battery option.
The ARIYA's dual motor e-4ORCE all-wheel drive system was named"Wards 10 Best Engines & Propulsion Systems" list in 2023. This is noteworthy because e-4ORCE allows the ARIYA to accelerate quickly and smoothly, as well as engage in higher-speed passing maneuvers on the highway. Although your drivers won’t necessarily need the power and agility the e-4ORCE system was designed to deliver, it’s nice to know that it’s there, should it ever be needed. This surefooted driving experience only adds to your peace of mind, and the driver’s safety, when necessary.
“Nissan’s e-4ORCE technology is ideal for Canada, simply because it’s designed to provide superior control and handling in all weather and road conditions, including our Canadian winters,” Rochefort says.
This is not a claim that Nissan makes lightly. The company put the ARIYA through its paces at the Hokkaido proving grounds in Japan, where engineers tested the e-4ORCE all-wheel drive system in harsh winter conditions, including snow-covered roads and slippery terrain. The ARIYA was pushed to its limits in order to fully test the system and to ensure that e-4ORCE would deliver a stress-free experience for the driver, as well as all the passengers.
2025 ARIYA models are available with either a standard range 63 kWh battery or an 87 kWh long range battery, providing up to 465km of range. All models come well equipped with a long list of standard advanced technologies, including Nissan Safety Shield® 360, which includes six active safety features, and ProPILOT Assist with Navi-link, which is a hands-on driver assistance technology.
Standard equipment includes a 12.3-inch Advanced Drive-Assist display, 12.3-inch colour display multi-touch control, wireless Apple CarPlay, wired Android Auto and Amazon Alexa. Available features include ProPILOT Park, which allows the driver to parallel park, as well as back into a parking spot with the push of a single button.
Kicks times two
Beyond electrified vehicles, Nissan Canada offers a wide assortment of ICE vehicles. The company recently announced that they’ll be offering two versions of the Kicks in 2025. The 2024 Nissan Kicks will be carried over for 2025, with a new name: Kicks Play, and will be available alongside the all-new 2025 Nissan Kicks.
The all-new Kicks is a street-smart, highly versatile compact crossover that stands out with its bold and expressive design, making it the ideal companion for both rural and city driving. Larger than its predecessor, the all-new Kicks offers technology that connects drivers to what matters most. This includes available Intelligent All-Wheel Drive (AWD) across all grades for increased confidence,best-in-class AWD fuel economy, and available ProPILOT Assist for easier highway driving.
Like the ARIYA, the all-new Kicks is proven to be well-suited for Canadian winters. The Kicks’ new Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system was rigorously tested in Quebec City through a variety of wintry scenes – an ideal setting for extreme winter evaluations.
Alternatively, the more compact Kicks Play will be available in two fuel-efficient versions—S and SV. Both grades boast best-in-class highway & combined fuel economy numbers, from 6.6 L/100km highway and 7.2 L/100km combined.
The 2025 Kicks Play S comes with Nissan Safety Shield® 360, cruise control, a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, three USB ports (one front, two rear charge-only), Easy-Fill Tire Alert, 16-inch wheels and a 60/40 split-folding rear seat as standard equipment.
The Kicks Play SV builds on the S grade with key upgrades including 17-inch alloy wheels, silver-painted roof rails, an electric parking brake, rear disc brakes, Intelligent Cruise Control, Nissan Intelligent Key, a 7-inch Advanced Drive-Assist Display, an 8-inch touchscreen, an additional front USB Type-C port, Remote Engine Start, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, automatic climate control and Rear Door Alert.
Going Rogue
The Rogue is available with two levels of driver assistance. ProPILOT Assist is available on SV and SL grades, and combines Intelligent Cruise Control with Steering Assist. On the Platinum model, available ProPILOT Assist 2.1 uses navigation information to help proactively adjust speed ahead of curves and highway interchanges.
All Rogue models come with Nissan Safety Shield® 360, which includes Intelligent Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Rear Automatic Braking.
All S and SV trims also come with key infotainment features, including an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and SiriusXM Radio. SL and Platinum trims get a 12.3-inch touchscreen with Google built-in and Google apps (Google Assistant, Google Maps, etc.), as well as wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto and a wireless charging pad.
“Whether you’re adding trucks, sedans, crossovers or SUVs to your fleet in 2025, Nissan offers a variety of fuel-efficient and technologically advanced options that are sure to meet your needs, exceed expectations, and put a smile on each driver’s face,” Rochefort concludes. “And if your fleet selector calls for electric options, Nissan has two budget-friendly options for your fleet, both of which come packed with safety features and advanced driver assistance technologies that will give you and your drivers the added peace that every fleet manager wants, and every fleet driver deserves.”
