NAFA Hosts Regional Golf Day in Ontario

Solid turnout and good weather made for a great event.

On September 18, fleet professionals gathered at the Royal Ontario Golf Club in Milton, for the NAFA Ontario Local Networking Group Outing. Over 90 people registered for the tournament, and it proved a great day out on the course—mother nature choosing to cooperate, with only a sprinkling of rain in the afternoon.

Great opportunity

“This event came together really well, and the day turned out perfectly,” said Jon Grant, Chair of the local NAFA Group. “It was great to see so many people out.” Grant stressed the importance of coming together at networking events like this as they provide a great opportunity to collaborate, share ideas and help the industry grow and move forward.

Also attending from the U.S., was NAFA CEO Bill Schankel, who had the opportunity to meet local members and fleet professionals as well as get some time out on the golf course. “We have some amazing volunteers here in Ontario,” Schankel said. “I had a great opportunity to chat with many of them and gain insights regarding the fleet management sector in Ontario and ways that we can continue to grow and support our members both here and across North America.”

Major benefits for fleets

The event concluded with a cocktail reception, dinner and raffle draw. Lisa Davis, Regional Account Manager at KalTire, a key sponsor of the event, provided an overview of KalTire’s business including more than 2,060 retail and commercial locations across Canada, as well as innovative solutions for fleets, including complete tire, oil, alignment and brake servicing for vehicles, as well as emergency roadside assistance. To help fleets maximize efficiency and uptime, Davis talked about KalTire’s six unique fleet centres located across Canada aimed at B2B customers and how the company continues to expand its range of services and locations to assist fleet customers from coast-to-coast.

Overall, it proved a perfect day out for NAFA members and fleet professionals. Autosphere attended and we look forward to bringing you more coverage of future NAFA regional events like this one.
