NAFA Ontario LNG Hosts Holiday Lunch and Toy Drive

In December, NAFA’s Ontario Local Networking Group (LNG) hosted a Holiday Lunch and Toy Drive.

This marked the first time since 2019 that this event took place. A total of 35 fleet professionals came together for a festive social gathering and donate to those less fortunate. All donations from the event went to support CP24 CHUM Christmas Wish.

According to Ontario LNG Chair Jon Grant, the Holiday Lunch and Toy Drive represented continued momentum in hosting live, in person events, followed from others, including a baseball social at a Blue Jays game and the NAFA Ontario LNG Golf Tournament. “This represents a renewing of pre-COVID traditions to support various charities and groups. In the coming months, we will be looking to engage with everyone and have the processes in place, so everyone is heard.”

Grant said that for 2024, the Ontario LNG is looking to host 4-5 events and as a loosely structured group, volunteers are welcomed at every level. “A simple email or call can get you added to our regular planning meetings, the more the merrier. We rely on word of mouth and spreading of the information at the events, including those in contact with end user fleet operators.”

Imran Mohammed, Vice President of Business Development for BDS Fleet Services added: “Thanks to all who attended, we had a fantastic time with everyone very much in the festive spirit! We look forward to carrying out more events for 2024 to bring our Fleet community together.”
