For some time, the fleet industry and our clients had been asking for expanded fleet industry coverage in Canada, and with Fleet & Mobility that has been realized. Focusing on all aspects of the fleet industry, from light vehicles, through medium duty and heavy-duty commercial trucks and vocational vehicles, Fleet & Mobility has been a welcomed and well-received addition to the Autosphere Media portfolio. Editor’s Choice Story for 2025
It was hard to select an editor’s choice news story this year, but after much deliberation we settled on the story below. Autonomous trucks have been a hot topic of discussion for many years, but the recent announcement of Aurora Innovation partnering with Detmar Logistics was very significant. The two companies have reached a milestone in having frac sand autonomously transported on public roads in the Permian Basin. Next year, Detmar will be employing a fleet of 30 trucks using Aurora Driver technology and this represents a major step forward in the adoption of truly autonomous heavy truck operations in North America.
