NAFA Ontario Celebrates Community Spirit at Blue Jays Networking Event

The NAFA Ontario Local Networking Group (LNG) brought members together for a lively, sold-out networking event on Monday, March 30 at the Pint Public House in downtown Toronto.

More than 100 attendees enjoyed an evening of casual dining and conversation before heading to the Rogers Centre to watch the Toronto Blue Jays take on the Colorado Rockies.

“We had capacity for 106 guests, and we filled every spot,” said Imran Mohammed, a member of the Ontario Local Network Committee and VP of Business Development at BDS Fleet Service.

Now in its fourth year since the return from COVID-era restrictions, the event has become a staple on the NAFA Ontario calendar. “It’s something people genuinely look forward to each year,” Mohammed added. “We’ve built a strong sense of community within the Ontario LNG, and we’re always excited to welcome new faces to join us.”

Generous support

The evening was made possible through the support of generous event sponsors, including Wheels, Stellantis, Farmbro, MKW, Canada Auctions, Jim Pattison Lease, RunBuggy, and Hansen’s. The chapter also recognized its annual sponsors: CARFAX, CARSTAR, Expertec, Element Fleet Management, Ford Pro, Foss National Leasing, GM, Holman, Hyundai Fleet, IAA, Kal Tire, Kia Fleet, Legend, Mitsubishi Motors, Nissan, Subaru, Stellantis, Toyota Fleet, and Volvo.

“It’s the people who make events like this meaningful,” Mohammed said. “Thank you to everyone who came out, showed their support, and helped strengthen our fleet community.”

Jon Grant, Fleet Operations Manager Canada for Allied Universal and NAFA Ontario LNG Chair also acknowledged the team effort behind the event’s success. “This event wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our Local Network Committee,” he said, recognizing Imran Mohammed, Lisa Marchese, Naomi Kislanski, Trang Bui, and Vibhor Bhardwaj for their contributions. Grant also played a key role in organizing this year’s outing.

For those who couldn’t attend, there are still plenty of opportunities to get involved throughout the year. “We have several exciting events coming up,” Mohammed noted, “including a golf tournament on June 18th, a Ride & Drive event in September, and our Holiday Toy Drive and Lunch in December. We hope to see even more members join us.”
